Compagnie du Bois Sauvage subscribed for EUR 10 million to the capital increase of the French company Ÿnsect. Driven by a fundraising of a total amount of USD 125 million, Ÿnsect will increase its production by building in France the largest worldwide insect farm. This plant will have an annual production of 20.000 tons of proteins derived from « Molitors » (commonly called « mealworms ») and will potentially build new premises in North America.

Ÿnsect applies to the high growth aquaculture market and to the pet food industry. Its proteins will help to reduce the consumption of fishmeal intended for animal feeding and in this way to conserve ocean resources. It will commercialize its by-products as fertilizers.
